The Cleaning Fairies were born in Boulder, Colorado in 1997. After leaving Telluride with my daughter, Kyla, I found that cleaning houses gave me the flexible schedule that I needed as a single parent. Within a year, I had three Fairies working for me and about 50 accounts. One fine day, a client had cancelled and cleaned my neighbor’s house as a surprise gift. They came home and claimed 'the Cleaning Fairy came!' thus the name of the company. Since then, we have grown to over 600 clients, 15 Fairies, and have added a new sector to the group, The Ninja's. The Ninja's do construction cleans, power washing, light maintenance, and heavy move out cleans. We are happy to provide our clients with these extra services.
When the economy went down in 2008, we began some serious soul searching for ways to keep our staff afloat in troubled times. We also wanted to recognize the community that had given so much to us for over a decade at that point. We coupled up with several senior centers, offering special senior rates to seniors making the transition into assisted living. We now help several seniors move in, move out, haul away their unwanted belongings, and clean their homes to get them ready for sale or rent.
We also became partnered with several organizations that help mentally challenged or disabled members of the community. We currently clean several group homes, private residences, and common areas for such organizations and their offices at a discounted rate.

Finally, we teamed up with several organizations that take care of folks with serious illnesses, terminally ill patients, and people in hospice care. We provide these clients with clean, sanitary conditions to return from the hospital, or find some piece of mind during these stressful times.
Throughout all of these changes, we are proud to not only serve the community, but to be of service to Boulder and its community members.
